Great project for those mechanically inclined! We bought this car intending to do a few minor repairs and after having it inspected, we soon realized there were more issues than we bargained for... We can't afford to make the repairs at the shop, and they are beyond our limited mechanical ability! I can give more details for those interested, but here is a list of issues:
- radiator may need replacement
- shocks and struts are leaking
- oil pan needs a new plug
- left and right sway bar links need replacing
- front brake pads and rear drums need replacing
- tires are worn
- signs of previous overheating
- head gaskets may be leaking
There are a couple more minor issues and the previous owner also did not replace the head gasket. I realize that is quite a list, but this car is valued at over $10,000 in mint condition. If someone is willing to spend a bit of time and money, you could have an awesome car. The interior is in good shape, it has a huge sunroof, roof rack, trailer hitch, and no accidents.
