The salary range is to commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Administrative Assistant position is full-time, 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, 1 hour lunch unpaid.

The Administrative Assistant is to perform all administrative tasks necessary to ensure smooth functioning of the Society office, receive & direct all visitors & communications, support Executive Director and other staff as required including the Board Chair in administrative duties, and to be aware of and apply the Philosophy and Ethical standards of the Society in all aspects of job performance and work towards realisation of the Vision and Mission of the Society.
Welcome all visitors to office building & guide appropriately; receive & forward all mail, internal communications, incoming calls, & deliveries; maintain complete & accurate records of Society membership, meetings etc.; attend all Board meetings, take & file minutes of all Board meetings, complete & submit all annual reporting requirements for the Society; provide administrative assistance to excluded staff: Executive Director, Program Manager, Finance Manager and Human Resources Manager, e.g. typing, filing, data entry, research etc.; assist with completing WorkSafe BC documents, benefits, hiring, monitoring staff, scheduling, and payroll using Com Vida; provide administrative assistance to the Home Share Coordinator(s) e.g. typing, filing, research, contracts, and updating Com Vida, etc.; attend meetings as required to take, file, & circulate accurate & timely minutes.; perform all duties with due regard to the requirements of PIPA, CARF Standards etc.; monitor Society website and e-mail for currency & accuracy.; perform any other duties within the competence of the post holder as allocated by the ED.
